Avoiding Past Mistakes and Averting Future Pitfalls: The Importance of Disability and Medical Leave Basics
This workshop will cover disability and medical leave laws and how to ensure compliance with those laws by site administrators.   While HR practitioners should hold primary roles in addressing matters such as leave administration and reasonable accommodation, they also should ensure that site administrators have an understanding of basic disability and medical leave principles in relation to their own duties.  This session will provide an overview of recommended topics and issues for site administrator training, with examples drawn from recent cases  to illustrate the pitfalls that can result when employers navigate these issues without all key participants knowing the basics.
